Blue Zoo were thrilled to be approached by Highly Unlikely to bring Formula One drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri to life in LEGO’s Lando and Oscar Show series, created in partnership with McLaren racing.

The three short films take viewers inside the stunning McLaren technology centre, bringing them along for hilarious adventures with the two young drivers.

Created with a combination of shot footage, still image plates and entirely GCI shots, the films combine the glossy LEGO style and zaniness to bring three different racing subjects to life in a way that kids and parents can enjoy together.

The film’s animation director, Dane Winn, said:

“We’re really proud to deliver a familiar, tactical aesthetic to the final look of the films and represent the McLaren brand in sleek, but charming way.

Bringing to life Lando and Oscar as LEGO figures was a lot of fun for the team. We tried to get their personalities across and create as much energy with their performances as we could, to really show off the sense of teamwork they had, whilst also injecting the comedy that LEGO is so well known for.”
